Diego Mejia-Lemos (PhD, LLM (NUS), LLM (NYU), PGDip, LLB (UNC), Abogado (Colombia)) is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Singapore. Dr Mejía-Lemos has held positions in both academia and practice. Recently, at the International Bureau of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, in The Hague, he provided support to investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the PCA's auspices. While based in Paris, he participated in Fresh fields Bruckhaus Deringer's advice and representation of a state in a maritime boundary dispute before the International Court of Justice. Previously, in Colombia, he had served as Assistant Professor of Law and Principal Researcher at the Universidad de Bogotá, appeared as amicus curiae before the Constitutional Court and clerked at the Supreme Administrative Court (Consejo de Estado). His work has been published or is forthcoming in the American Journal of International Law, the Oxford Reports on International Law, the Oxford Reports on International Organizations, and Oxford University Press’s Investment Claims (as reporter on Singapore's Bilateral Investment Treaties), i.a. He has been awarded several scholarships and grants, including the President's Graduate Fellowship (NUS) and the Mallal Scholarship (NYU). He has acted as peer reviewer for the Asian Journal of International Law and others. He is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in French and Mandarin Chinese.
